Boulder in Tenerife
Tenerife is home to several boulder areas, all with their own unique characteristics. Similarly to sport climbing, most sectors will be found in the east, although there are also some great boulder areas North and West. With hundreds of problems to solve spread out throughout gorgeous canyons, there is a boulder route for everyone in Tenerife.
Best boulder areas in Tenerife
Arico Nuevo
With almost 300 routes, this sector is undoubtedly the largest boulder area in Tenerife. Climbing started here in 1999 as a venue for a bouldering competition. The boulders are spread throughout the gorge with most grades ranging between 5b and 7a.

El Porís
This climbing area is in a sunny area of the island and is therefore a great alternative for rainy days in climbing areas at higher altitudes. Climbing is on the edges of the gorge and on scattered boulders, with over 100 problems of all grades and difficulties. There are also some sport routes in the sector.
