Trad climbing in Tenerife

There are plenty of traditional climbing routes scattered around Tenerife, with some of the most impressive ones located in the North, in Anaga Rural Parc, as well as in the South in Arico. This is the perfect place to practice crack climbing and use cams thanks to an inimitable basalt rock, reminiscent of the red sandstone of Utah.

A pretty convenient place to get started, Arico offers beginner and advanced trad routes throughout the canyon, among the many sport climbing routes.

Anaga Rural Parc

The longest classic climbing routes in Tenerife are located between the steep mountains and deep ravines of the Anaga Park. This exceptional natural space is home to humid forests and numerous rocks that bring together a hundred routes and a maximum height of 250 meters. Some itineraries are suitable for intermediate levels, but others put more experienced climbers to the test.
